Normal Delivery vs. C-Section
Understanding the clinical realities, benefits, and indications of both birthing methods.

VAGINAL BIRTH
The Natural Trajectory
A normal vaginal delivery is the physiological gold standard for childbirth when no medical complications exist. It allows for a faster maternal recovery, shorter hospital stay, and immediate skin-to-skin contact.
Crucially, passing through the birth canal exposes the baby to the mother's beneficial microbiome, which plays a massive role in establishing the infant's lifelong gut health and immune system.

CESAREAN SECTION
Life-Saving Intervention
While vaginal birth is prioritized, a Cesarean section is a profound, life-saving surgical intervention. It becomes medically necessary in cases of fetal distress, abnormal presentation (breech), placenta previa, or severe maternal preeclampsia.
At Vardaan, we believe a C-section should never be viewed as a "failure." We practice "gentle Cesareans," maintaining a calm environment, allowing for immediate skin-to-skin in the OR, and prioritizing the emotional experience of the birth.
